Mine love my OH only because he bribed them to come to him when I was living at my parents and he came to visit... Beany was bribed with a lick of a fruity sweetfrozenthunderbolt wrote:My girlfriend brought her cockatiel Charlie to live with us and he hates me and i hate him - we drive each other mad. that said, she bought a little girl (that he hates but has made him quieter) and she is quiet and lovely and loves me! We called her Luna - for Luna Lovegood in 'Arry Potter

They can be a bit possessive and jealous of one person or another and even prefer one sex of owner to the other, they're funny wee things, I've had birds even have a preference as to which hand they will step on. I had a bird once who would scream and bite my right hand but jump on my left hand in the blink of an eye!

Squeaky was originally named Sir Squeakalot as she used to squeak for her food when she was weeks old and after a Lavender Castle character (I love Rodney Matthews art) and we were told she was a little boy. She put pay to that in the middle of me arranging a HUGE BBQ when I walked past her cage and wondered who had put a pebble in her cage!! I was on the phone to the vet in one hand and trying to cook with the other all in a blind panic!!!
Jellybean is a kind of joke, my friend misspelled Jellybean as Jeelybean once and I kind of named him after that as it became a private joke really !
I have had Spotty and Dotty (my first ever birds who were rescues), Harley (the bird from hell as he used to scream all day and night until I re-homed him in an aviary), Nibbles, Dizzy, Wingnut and Spook and now Squeaky and Jellybean in a span of almost 20 years

He's been out tonight while we were playing PC games and eating Prawn crackers... of course Beany was sat on the keyboard watching the PC screen and eating my OH's crackers that he had on the table. If OH is playing games and eating crackers then so is Bean, must be a bloke thing HAHA!!
