I have a bit of a passion for olives and end up with loads of 1ltr jars. I have used them for all sorts including jam, dandelion cough syrup and cider.

pick a bunch of danelion heads maybe about 50 or so. boil them with a bag of sugar until the mixture reduces, strain then cool, then bottle.

always use guess work on this one so I did a bit of research. It should be 3 pounds of brown sugar for every pint of liquid. Also the jar has to be steralised as mould can form pretty eaisly otherwise.

Interesting article, Andy. The best thing I have ever found for colds and sinus problems is my trusty old neti pot. If you have an interest in yoga you might have heard of this, if not, see: http://www.healingdaily.com/exercise/neti-pot.htm
You can buy inexpensive plastic pots for about £3.50 from www.bwy.org.uk.

All you use to flush out your sinuses is water and salt. It's magic!
