A healthy diet is good for everyone... it seems!

Post: # 130601Post StripyPixieSocks »

So last night we let the beaked horrors out for a fly around and we got on with doing what we were doing and then after about half an hour of things being nice and quiet... unusually quiet I turned around and spotted this:

Photographic Evidence 1

Photographic Evidence 2

Yes, my favourite little horror Jellybean had spotted our fruit bowl and decided to help himself to the lovely juicy Pears!

It was absolutely hilarious and the look on his face when he realised he'd been caught was photo worthy but unfortunately we missed it and had to make do with the above two photographic evidence photos!

See, that's what you get for letting him indulge in eating his favourite fruit Oranges... which he will do absolutely anything for... it seems!

The Orange Thief

Little buggers they are but I love 'em to bits.. even if I have to eat Pears today with little beak marks in them

Funny thing is he didn't even touch the craft stuff on the table which he usually rips to shreds if he gets a hold of it... nope... straight for the healthy option!

Doesn't he look like butter wouldn't melt?

He's such a cutie and he really piles on the 'I'm so cute' thing when people come over too.

We're there saying he's being hormonal and stroppy and bites so be careful and he's there letting guests tickle him and he's fluttering his big dark eyes and giving then the "tuppa tea" treatment and making us look like we're talking rubbish... seriously he should have horns he's a little devil at times!

LOL he's exactly like a toddler in the respect he explores everything with his tongue... I've never seen a bird like him but if you put him on an unfamiliar surface he immediately bends down and licks it  I used to have a glass coffee table which looked like it had little worm trails all over it because he would run around (he started at 6 weeks old) with his tongue on the glass... very amusing to watch!!!

MMM he's a Cockatiel, twice as big as a Budgie half the size of a regular parrot but still clever enough to learn a few phrases and instructions bless them!

He can say: 'Tuppa Tea', 'Cheeky Boy' 'tea bird' and 'Eat your dinner, eat your dinner' the latter being something I used to say directly to him when he was being weaned lol he picked up the tuppa tea thing himself, we were just sat there one day and he said it... we make lots of cups of tea it seems HAHA. He does mix the words up too so you occasionally get 'tuppa tuppa tea bird' and he does try to learn other things it just seems he doesn't want to say the usual things like hello

My other one, Squeaky is my old lady and she doesn't do much really but she's every bit as adorable and cheeky in her own way!

Heehee that's my OH and no... it was probably done while ferreting around inside a PC lol

He does bite but only when he's hormonal (or sitting on eggs) other than that he's a little softy
