Andy stayed with our parents in Northampton as planned. Mum was having a dinner party type thing so he was guest of honour! He's been doing well by all accounts, getting to places on schedule, getting slightly damp but spirits still high. Last I heard he was a few miles south of Newark nr Notthm with a backpack full of leftover food.

Thank heaven he's not on the West coast - we have wheelie bins swirling in the street like fallen leaves - you can hardly stand never mind cycle.
Andy - if you are checking in - keep on pedalling! :thumbright:

And I took the one less travelled by
And that has made all the difference.

Great to hear he's ok - it's really getting bad now! And the bad weather seems to be coming faster than initially though... Snow showers on Monday. :(

He's due here on Monday - but he did say that if he had a good tail wind he could arrive on Sunday - hmmmm be careful what you wish for! With winds like these he could be here any minute! lol

I found this fab photo on Flickr - taken by Glaesmann (she's very kindly given me permission to use it here)

Could it be Andy on his way through York trying to drum up some additional fundraising?????

I rang him about 20 mins ago - he's in Whitley Bay and on his way here. We reckon that he'll be here about 8pm-ish. He sounds good tho!

Do I guess that he's staying with you next then Shirlz? If so - what sort of size is your boy?

You are lucky to be last - we were last on the Wombats trip and they stayed longer!
The thing is I knitted a hat and I was planning to send it with Andy to the next person with a wee one - and I thought of you - but I have a feeling it may be a bit small  I thought your boy was about 3-4. I'd me most happy to send it anyway and you could pass it on if it doesn't fit.
Maybe my kids just have big heads!

As much as I'd love to say YES, J has a rather large head and so it likely won't fit. I'm sure we could find someone that it would fit though as there are a fair few wee ones up here, or perhaps at Andy's next stop.

Has he arrived yet????? Don't forget to take photos of you all - not in pjs LOL!!!
