The Herefordshire Marches doesn't figure heavily in that it'n'ry, but if you have to make a whopping detour you'd be welcome to come and see us!

Dear Andy

I've just received your email. Just replying to let you know that you would be more than welcome to stay, be fed etc.

However I must point out that you would be about 200 miles off course and much further on than you intended.

Why go up the e coast to Edinburgh. A great route and far less busy would be Darlington - Corbridge (A68) - Otterburn (A68 and us) - Carter Bar (Scottish border) - Jedburgh (lovely abbey) - Edinburgh.

We'd be happy to feed / entertain/ put you up!

We can certainly feed you and share a couple of local ales* - and there's a granary in the barn, any help?

* Or you could sample some local Skidbrooke Cyder! :drunken:

If you come this far over maybe go to York via Humber Bridge?

Hello Bristol, this is King's Lynn calling..... over!

Hot meal, bath, sofa, maybe bed available!

I know your route doesn't go through here, but you can never tell what will happen on these journeys.

Take care, and God speed,

Sarah
