How about an alert section.
For ....
Bird flu updates..
Any other potention epedemics
Dodgy traders
New laws/regs
people giving birth
and so on....

The thing is that Andy is trying to keep down the amount of sections otherwise it can be a bit daunting and time consuming going through them all!
Most of those suggestions can go under the appropriate existing sections, like bird flu under livestock, or new regs in the news section (or other section depending what the regs pertain to e.g. livestock), etc.
And how many people are giving birth, or do you mean new chick alert? Plenty of them around!
Oh and dodgy traders can't be named on forums due to potential litigation!
