Worming and fleaing in cats - Diatom?

Post: # 237316Post Clarry »

Hi

How does everyone worm and flea their cats? We currently use the chemical nasties from the vet that cost me about £120 for the year.

Having just got chickens though we've come across diatom which says it's ok for use on other pets.

Has anyone had any success with Diatom for preventing fleas and worms in cats?

Our cats are hunters and we have to worm every month to keep on top of them. They also manage to get fleas now and again despite fleaing them every 6 weeks (even in winter).

Cheers :flower:

We use wormer from the vets for r cats as they r also manic hunters. They regularly get fleas from the rabbits they catch and I've found a mixture of white vinegar and lavender oil in a spray is great at getting rid of them. We were spending a fortune on flea treatments and have found this to be a cheap effective alternative. Xx
