KP is hereditary, it does get worse when you're more hormonal. Like I said, I had to take quite a bit of Omega-3 to get rid of mine as it's quite severe. I've read various dietary treatments that have worked for different people so I do tend to think of it acting up when there's a deficiency or allergy present.Don't go with for scrubbing to try and get rid, that can leave discoloured skinfifi folle wrote: I've not heard of a link between keratosis pilaris and vit a/omega 3, I'd been putting mine down to hormones. It developed in my teens, calmed down for years then it came back with a vengence when pregnant with my son, stayed during BFing and am now pregnant again. My arms look awful! Sunshine used to help but we've not had much of that here this year!!!

Everybody's body works slightly differently. Some people do best on a vegan diet, some do best on a veggie + dairy diet, and some do best eating meat. Experiment with the advice given above, but keep in mind that what works for some people may not work for you, and vice-versa.
Personally, I couldn't survive on a meatless diet. Seriously, I'm missing some of the enzymes needed to digest plant protiens, and I have the lab tests to prove it! I'm biologically a carnivore :)
