LOST - 1 Stonehead.

Post: # 50548Post Sarahcook »

Anyone seen Stonehead recently?

His blog has disappeared from wordpress. Just hoping he's not ill again.

Nope. No sign here.

The last thing I remember reading was something about him being upset with people using the information he'd shared..

I dunno the where's, how's or whys of any of that, but maybe he has opted for full withdrawal or a relocation? Not sure, but I think his blog was originally a meeting point for family far and wide to catch up on the big and lil fellas progress. Maybe he is just simplifying things a bit?

He mentioned entering a stint of long term study too... Maybe he just doesn't have the time now? When I studied I found it really hard to communicate regularly and tended to just pop up in chunks. My blog would often have months between updates, because the study just makes a huge demand your computer time. He might pop up again when he needs a break from the heavy stuff and the idea of being light-hearted and careless becomes refreshing.

Ah well.

We'll see what we see.

Thanks for thinking to respond.

I've just caught up on the threads where Stonehead says bye, I had missed it completely- I'd love to let him know how much I enjoy his posts and never found him trying to be 'one up' on me, but if he's left the forum he'll never read this. I found his posts amusing and informative and really miss his slant on life.
*Shirlz, if you see him at the auctions up there in the frozen north pass on my warm regards and good luck to all the family for the future.*

kind thoughts
Deb

Yep a sad loss from this forum when he decided to stop posting. It is a busy time in March for anyone who grows so perhaps the decision to stop the blog as well is simply a practical one.

Anyway if you read this stoney, hope you are doing well chap.

I've been reading his blog for a while, but yesterday it had disappeared from Wordpress and I can't find it anywhere

Maybe he's just dropped out of blogging etc for a while until he's got more free time?

Think I found it. Bit odd, eh? Far as I can see everyone was wishing him well... even the thread was a "Get well" kinda thing...

Our online community really moved to support and encourage him when things got tough, I thought. I don't remember any conflict here... not even any jokey poke in the ribs kinda stuff like Martin and I enter into just to make sure each other is still alive.

Maybe the trouble he was having was actually on the blog? I just checked and the blog is now restricted and not for public access.

*shrugs* Dunno.

Stonehead is alive, well and kicking.

He has chosen to withdraw his blog at this stage mainly due to some inappropriate comments made on it and some personal issues, which I don't feel inclined to disclose.

Very happy to find he is alive and kicking!

Please send my best wishes, and so forth, and I hope whatever is wrong is resolved quickly, whether that means his blog comes back up or not is irrelevant, if you see what I mean.

I explained that really badly. Parents Evening does my entire (organic) root vegetable collection in, not just my swede.....

It's the mix of teacher/counsellor/psychologist that gets me. And their need to tell me about their other children/state of the marriage/ colour of the kitchen and so on.

Oh now I sound miserable. I'm not. really I'm not........

Sarah

p.s. has David seen topicbox.org.uk? Ideal for Primary teachers.
