How Many of You Bring Half Your Garden Inside Over Winter?

For the first year I seem to have brought a large amount of my pots in this year, I have brought in my begonia, new guinea busy lizzie, ginger and a chilli plant, my house is starting to look like a summer garden. Is this normal?

not on this patch Sleepy; more likely to take them under cover in summer. However, in another life I kept a fairly significant garden indoors in a city flat and I still remember how fresh and fragrant the air inside was when I came home at night.

My house tends to be full of plants - mostly seedlings - in spring and early summer.

The back of the house is quite sheltered so we're able to leave most stuff outside. We do, however, have to transport the fruit trees that we grow in pots to the sheltered area to escape the high winds we have here.

I certainly do, in fact I actively grow stuff as a norm indoors every winter.
At the moment I have 4 tomato plants in pots timed to have ripe fruit at Christmas.
I also have 4 troughs of strawberry plants chilling outdoors which will be brought indoors in January to fruit from early April onwards and I usually grow a trough or two of dwarf French beans and sometimes a bucket of carrots for really early veg.
You can't waste a sunny windowsill.
