Thank You All
Thank You All
G'Day Self sufficientishers,
This last week has been a rough one for me, on Tuesday a friend and colleague was killed on one of our worksites in a roofing panel collapse. I have been intimately involved with the investigation of his death and have had to deal with some people who are really hurting.
Over this last week I have gained considerable diversion and pleasure from the Self Sufficientish site and in particular the forum. I just wanted to say thanks to you all and in particular Andy, and Dave for setting up the site.
Life has it's ups and downs, look after yourselves and eachother.
Thanks again

G'DAy Guys,
It has been 12 months today that my friend Brownie was killed. It a lot of ways the last year has been rough, and investigations and the coroners inquest still continuing so we are not out of the woods yet. But we are moving forward and getting on with life.
Thanks again
Nev

Thinking of you Nev - and your friend's family. It must have been a terrible thing to go through, and even more so to have to investigate the cause.
Hugs mate.

It's hard when someone you're close to dies, especially if it is unexpected. Nearly twenty years ago my best friend died of a heart attack aged 31. That was a shocker. I reckon it takes a full year to get to grips with the simple fact that they are no longer around, and then begin to feel you can move on. And it'll be a long time (maybe never) before a day goes by that you won't have some thoughts about it.
All the best, Nev.

Thanks Guys,
I appreciate your sentiments.
It's 2:00am here now, I got call on my mobile at 1:10am which I only just missed, and when I checked the voice message I couldn't work out who it was from, but it was obviously work and asking me to call back.
I have had a few late night/early morning calls and they usually mean someone has been badly injured or killed so I was pretty keyed up when I rang back.
Anyway, my friend who was killed came from Melbourne originally and it seems that the some of the Melbourne managers are out having a few drinks and thought of me...............
I was too relieved that everyone was OK to even yell at them..........
You gotta love it!
