Keeping fingers crossed for Queenslanders

Just wanted to say to any Ishers in Queensland - thinking of you and hoping you keep safe in the hours to come.

Our thoughts are with you. Keep safe :grouphug:
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Me too.
I can't really imagine what it's like. We have had storms here with gusts of over 100 mph ... but SUSTAINED winds of 160 mph ?
That's just unimaginable.

I feel the same, been reading all about it on the news. Last night they mentioned a metre of rain - took a moment to figure that out  but that's 1/4 more rainfall than we get in a YEAR - just doesn't bear thinking about and that's without the hurricane winds. :pale:

I lived thru hurricanes and floods when I was a kid in Fiji but when you are little you don't really understand or feel worried about these things.

They have had such terrible weather lately. My thoughts are with all of them.
I was listening to five live this morning and the presenter said to an aussie doctor that she was interviewing "enjoy your time bationing down the hatches". I thought that was a very stupid comment.

Queensland isn't exactly living up too it's reputation, Hopefully people are well enough prepared this time to minimise casualties and what damage they can. I hear dthe pressure will drop so low that ears will "pop"....I can't imagine it but I hope the poor South East Qlders don't get too much of a "fallout" efffect I always found we got dreadful weather if the north was having tropical stroms and the South Eeast Doesn't need any more bad weather...
