ANYONE DRIVING FROM SCOTLAND TO BRISTOL?

Post: # 143029Post invisiblepiper »

Hi - is anyone heading South?
I have a stack of really good books and DVDs for the Ish shop - but postage is scary! - I know its a long shot - but if anyone is heading south to Bristol and would be happy to take a hefty box ( or two?) let me know!
If not - it will be Oxfam I guess. :study:
PS - will be happy to bring box(es) to the smoke - Glasgow.

I'm travelling down to Manchester in the middle of march. If no joy elsewhere maybe we could get them there in relays?

Hi milims - have replied - thankyou!
Green Aura - that's a good idea - any Ishers doing Manchester to Bristol?
OR - suggestions for cheapish freight?

My husband is on a course in Scotland and is returning to Devon on Friday evening (through the night).

He is at Fortwilliam and the Caingorms. How far off the M5 is the delivery?

HI Elizabeth - I really don't know the Bristol end at all! I need to check some maps on Google.
Is your husband doing Fort Bill to Devon in one go? No - he can't be?
I am also waiting to hear from a friend who has just moved up from Bristol - so fingers crossed.
Wish we could 'beam' things down!

Perhaps Andy could do another bike ride and collect things along the way! Now that would be a sight to see!

We'll be going to Wells later in the year but think it's a long while off yet.

Bristol is v close to the M5 btw.

What sort of weight and size would the box of books be?

However he is sleeping in a snow hole Wed and Thurs night. So if he doesn't get much sleep he might stop off.

Shirley - one box of DVDs - 18by 18 by 20 inches, books - can adjust to fit and only send the best ones? :study:

Elizabeth - snow hole - better not let my OH read this posting - he'll be up there in a minute!
