Well I have been spinning fo about 3 months now and really enjoy it I have an old spinning wheel that I love and have made my fist thingy !!! On a loom that I made, I used all natural colours of the fleece from teesdales, surffolks, shetland and herdwicks. I love spinning shetland wool it's so soft and manageable, when I suss out the photo stuff (still a techno cretin) I'll post some pics

My birthday present, a few years back, was a two day course learning how to spin. I really enjoyed it and I have all the kit too but I haven't managed to do any since. Maybe this year, assuming I can remember how!

I was given a spinning wheel last year... Needless to say, it's still in the black bags it came in - but I am hopeful, now that I have sorted the living room! Mind you, it's far too small (the room) to do all the things I want/need to do in it... Drying clothes is at the top pf the agenda in this weather. And then getting the sewing machine out. And after all that, maybe the spinning wheel... :)

What do you do with the wool once spun?

Yes carding the wool takes out all the tats! As I call them so it makes it easy to feed the wool on to the spinning wheel, at the moment I have made a table runner and a scarf it's coming along ok, I will try to post some pics

spinning is a bit of a mistery to me, although I have seen it before.
