Don't laugh!
My first (and thus far only) attempt at basket making. I made a trug, from locally sourced willow (brown,green and purple) and heather.

It took two days - on the first day we made the hoops and wove them together sufficiently to fit the ribs. On the second day we finished off the weaving.
It's called a frame basket, which is apparently one of the easier types to make because the it's woven from the sides into the middle along with the rim, rather than from the bottom up - if that makes sense.
The tutor was a guy called Tim Johnson from the Isle of Wight. I've had a look at his website - oh well, something to aspire to
