Energy saving computers

Tomorrow's World was a show on BBC TV about innovations and tech stuff and I thought a good name for our computing and tech section.

Energy saving computers

Post: # 82110Post Martin »

not generally a newspaper reader (all that waste!!!!), but having just spent another boring week in hospital with an infection, allowed myself the indulgence of a daily newspaper
.............the Sunday Times had a really good article on green computing (it may still be on their site) - from which I gleaned the following computer suppliers who make genuinely low-consumption machines - http://www.tranquilpc-shop.co.uk/ - http://very-pc.co.uk/
- well worth a look, and allied to Ubuntu, or another flavour of Linux, a great way to save power, and escape the Windoze gas-guzzling spyware treadmill
http://solarwind.org.uk - a small company in Sussex sourcing, supplying, and fitting alternative energy products.
Amateurs encouraged - very keen prices and friendly helpful service!

Oh blast - hope you are OK again!

I'll have to look into that. There are lots of energy saving items out there - I just bought myself a ISE washing machine, which I believe is the best you can get in that way. Do you know anything about them?
