Free wild food walk - Totnes

Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Free wild food walk - Totnes

Post: # 173787Post Dave »

I'm doing a wild food walk for the Transition Town lot in Totnes next week - details below.

D.I.O. Skillshare # 7 - Wild Food with Dave and Adam

Sunday 1st November, 2 - 4pm
A two hour walk and talk around Totnes, exploring some of its wild tasties. We'll be looking at a wide range of plants and trees that grow all over town, discussing uses, recipes, folklore, science, medicines...There'll even be a few different wild food snacks they've prepared beforehand to try along the way.

Led by Dave Hamilton, co-founder of Selfsufficientish.com, co-author of the Self-Sufficientish Bible, columnist in Alan Moore's forthcoming counter culture magazine Dodgem Logic and experimentalist in free living, and Adam Weymouth, who just likes plants.

COST: Free, but tiny donations would be nice to cover the bought ingredients for the snacks. Like 20p each, tops.

WHERE: Meet at the Railway Station on the 'To London' side (opposite side to the station office)
