Nasal Forraging
how to stop this wonderful practise?!
it's not so much the forraging that gets my goat, it's the fact that she eats her findings or offers them to other people (EWWW)...

How old?
I would just remember to do it when she brings her first BF round.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Re: Nasal Forraging
A friend of mine who was a school helper had a lad in class who used to do that. She got him to put his bogies into a cup and then at the end of the lesson presented him with the cup and told him he could eat them now.

My mum used to tell me that if I carried on I would end up picking my brains out through my nose. Eugh.

Re: Nasal Forraging
Mrs F, your Soph often has colds, could it be that her nose is constantly blocked up? I know how painful it can be to have a nose full of yuk, not to mention that it can affect your breathing. By telling Soph to stop you are, effectively, stopping her from easing her pain or breathing properly.
How about teaching her how to clear her nose discretely and effectively into a tissue instead?
