I thought that day had come last year and actually bought a cardigan, not sure what came over me. Wore it once it has ended up as one of Emma's favorite items of clothing. Only ever bought two items of clothing once, the other was a pair of leather trousers. Never get advice on clothes buying from a man in cowboy hat.hedgewizard wrote:25. Change purse (on the day when I finally admire a cardigan in the window of Marks and Spencers)
er so I had better think of something to add here er, er *looks around my office *
27. nailed to the side of the desk for a handy place to store pens/paperclips etc.

Put some cloves in one and heat (next to a cup of water) in the microwave - excellent for relieving tooth ache or ear ache
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

34. Use as live bait for a trap like this magpie trap...
...except this one is a trap to catch all the odd socks in your home. Passing odd socks see your bait in the trap and enter it to see off the intruder (odd socks being territorial and solitary by nature) and then can't get back out.
Well, they must go somewhere so assuming they're building a socktopia under the sofa, this may work.

How sad is this - I went to bed last night thinking up uses for old socks - especially as I have a basket full!!
Anyway - how about fragrant sock dollies!
Stuff a rolled up sock into the toe end of another and tie round to make a head. Stuff the rest of the sock with cut up socks and aromatic spices - cloves, cinamon etc. Embroider a face on, add arms, legs, hair and dress - hey presto - sock rag doll that smells nice!!
Guess what we'll be doing this half term...........

if you have a winter jacket that you want to be warmer for the hands you can cut the foot off an old sock and attach to the end of the arms on the inside of the sleeve with optional thumb holes cut and stitchedbit like having a jacket with built in gloves
on edit...thats attach the other elasticated bit...and not the foot bit.....just re read that there and it looked wrong

I've got lots of cloves lol... I've only got cinammon powder at the moment though... Lavender would obviously work well too...
