101 uses for cockroaches

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

God you're brave!

11. Give several large live ones to Bridezillas for wedding presents. Preferably as a surprise gift by letting them loose in Bridezilla's house.

I've just googled Mycophobia and your sister is not alone! I've never heard of that one before. And a cheese phobia is called Turophobia. Could understand that with some of the ponky cheeses that exist, I don't wanna be in the same room as them either.

15. Make a roach brooch. No, seriously - people stick jewels on live cockroaches and then wear them. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about the world, I don't know what does.

I had heard of that, and that's the only thing that makes me feel sorry for cockroaches.

Minnesota,

Be glad you don't have them. Have you never been to Florida? You wouldn't be bummed then! I lived there and had someone spray on a monthly basis and never got rid of them. I could hear them in the middle of the night running up the cabinet doors. We would be watching tv at night and the females would fly into the room, attracted to the light. Palmetto bugs are WORSE!!!!

The story goes that when I was born a cockroach skuttled out from under the bed, across the floor, only to swiftly be introduced to the pointy bit of the nurse's stiletto. Sufficed to say the hospital closed less than a year later!
