HOW?

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

HOW?

sophie is really heavily in to diggers. I intend to make her cake as a digger cake... but i can't seem to figure out how to make the bucket thing.
I've been using this as a pattern 'cos it's the least complicated, but i really want to make a better looking scoop bucket thing.

any ideas welcome.[/url]

Why not make a flat cake that you can cut into a 2D image of a digger and then decorate with lots of detail? Actually, your 3D picture looks better.

make bucket from gingerbread or chocolate and have enough icing inside to hold everything together

Could you make the bucket from something like an old margarine tub? I'm not sure how you would paint it though? If you could find a way then you could then fill with sweets.

I like Marshlander's idea - I might try to remember that idea when it's J's birthday.
