Hommity Pie

I can't take the credit for this one, but it went down a storm in our house:
http://www.eighth-day.co.uk/recipes/bhompie.htm

It's a pastry base with a potato, onion and cheese filling which is really tasty. It's also good cold if you have leftovers.

It's easy to make, too, as long as you know how to make pastry. I made it for dinner one evening, but it would have been better to make the pastry in advance because it's a bit long-winded.

Hi Fluffy,

I love homity pies, a bit of a faff, but sooo tasty. I usually make a batch of them, they never make it to the freezer though!

I use the Cranks recipe but the one you have looks good. I'll give it a try, thanks!
If in doubt ~ use a hammer!
