You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

All the facts are well known even in Canada. Canada could meet Kyoto Accord guidelines if it was not for the Tarsands. in Canada, Tarsands are God. Fracking is destroying pristine areas by polluting the ground water. The Great Lakes are a cesspool in many areas. Nobody swims in Lake Erie. Life goes on.

The planet is not in trouble. It will survive. It is humans who are threatened, which may be a good thing, since the next predominant inhabitants of the planet, when Easter Island Syndrome occurs (over population out stripping resources) will probably be cockroaches and eons in the future they just may protect their environment better than humans did.

Enjoy it while you can. It probably wont last.

I reckon ravens. They're really intelligent creatures.

Mind you, intelligence hasn't really been an evolutionary success, has it?

The meat industry says the use of so-called "meat glue" occurs only in restaurants and is purely for portion control and not to "glue scraps of meat together".

Greens consumer affairs spokesperson Sue Kedgley has lodged a complaint with the Commerce Commission over the use of transglutamisase (TG), an enzyme that bonds meat.

Kedgley claims the practice breaches the Fair Trading Act "as it is misleading and deceptive".

She said she believed butchers are also gluing scraps of meat together and selling them as prime cuts of meat.

Makes one muse about what the fast food hamburger joints are using.
