Re: What are we all having for dinner?
That sounds like a brilliant combination, Annpan.
We had (last night) a roast made from ground nuts and onions, mixed with a few herbs, and whole chestnuts and chopped parsnips, bit of salt and black pepper. We thought it would turn out too sweet but no, it was just right; an interesting combination and worth doing regularly. I'm not a great fan of parsnips so this is one dish I can look forward to again.
Served with home-made chutney, mint sauce, broccoli, carrots, salad, everything organic of course, it was namm.

I think the last three weeks it's been "something" and PSB.
Tonight it's hake, chips and guess what .... PSB.

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
Tonight it's 'something' and leeks cos they need using up quickly! It's great I've got so much in the way of veggies right now and all nice ones.
Actually my OH is going to do a leek and mushroom risotto.
Actually it was interesting to taste the kale sprouts along with the PSB sprouts - they are quite similar in a way only one is more cabbagey and one is more brocolli like (obviously!) but I love both.

If you lived closer i'd let you have some of mine. I only shoot about 4 a year - which is enough meat for a family of 4. the rest of the year we live off lentils and beans.

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
Leek and potato soup, chunky version, all home grown.
Served with pumpkin walnut cheesy griddle scones (pumpkin and walnuts home grown). The pumpkin made the scone mix a bit sloppy but they cooked fine in the end. Was an experiment I probably won't do again but hey why not?
Having the rest of it all tonight so easy dinner after spending hours yesterday making it all - but it was supposed to rain!

Re: What are we all having for dinner?
Bit of a detox today to purge myself of the weekends overindulgence!
Brown rice, with steamed cabbage, leeks, carrots and peppers all dressed with sesame oil, tamari, parsley and homemade hot pepper sauce.
Yummy and good for me!
