Post: # 435Post angelbabe »

Award winning (!!!)
Pepper and Pear Soup (can be found in the Montpelier Cook Book!)

2 pears
1 large (or 2 small) red peppers
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 table spoon of olive oil
1 ½ pints of stock
salt and pepper to taste

chop the peppers, pears, garlic and onion and fry off in the olive oil for a few minutes- when soft add the stock- simmer for 20 min or so. Blend, season and serve.

"look to this day,
For it is life,
The very life of life
In its brief course lie all
The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth
The splendor of action,
The glory of power -

For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision,
But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream
of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day."
