Hi all,

anyone have a Clearview Pioneer Oven woodburner?

I really like the look of it and that you can see the flames, cook and heat water.

That's spooky - I was looking at one of these just yesterday. It looks great - we need an alternative for cooking as well as heating when we get power cuts.

Very expensive though. About £1500!

We can get rayburns round here for nothing - people are desperate to get rid of them (I have no idea why). Unfortunately, much as I'd love one, they won't fit in the available space, so I need something smaller.

We recently installed a Nordica - it cost 13,000 euros and because of the majolica tiles it retains the heat for hours after the fires gone out. http://www.growveg.info/gallery/main.ph ... emId=52238

Nordica also do a smaller oven called a Rosetta which might be worth looking at.

Oops maths was never my strong point, that should read 1,300 euros. You can get stainless steel ones over here for 500 euros but we wanted something which would retain heat for longer as it will only be lit once a day and kept going for cooking purposes only.

Hi Elizabeth.
Sadly it doesnt have a makers name, it came from a little backwoods Agricola shop over here and didnt even have a brochure or instructions with it. It seems a generic model out here Ive seen a few all very similar. :flower:
