The Self sufficientish bible - Promotional stuff.

Post: # 91561Post Andy Hamilton »

Right had some more confirmations of what we will be doing.

Oxford literary festival - (164)Sunday 6th April, 4pm, Town Hall, St aldates. A bit of a Q and A affair. Will no doubt be down one of the pubs after perhaps the turf tavern, lamb and flag or the eagle and child.

Swindon Literary festival - Eco Ideas & Practices Day
Sunday 11 May 10am – 4pm • £10 (includes light lunch).

Then the Times 29th March - body and soul section, interview with eco warrior.
The Scotsman - should be on week of publication (ie March 31st - 6th April). Perhaps an interview but defo a feature.
The independent - not sure but should be doing something.
You magazine - review.
Country file - 4 page feature next month
Country life - something not sure what.
Environment uk - Again don't know what.

Will keep you up to date as stuff comes in.

You coming up to Scotland for that?

You should be in the Herald - much "greener" than the Scotsman... Anyway, they are running a "local food" campaign at the moment.

Have you contacted country living magazine? They might be interested too.

I wondered why I preferred the herald I though it was just the Glasgow connection....

Nah the Scotsman went pear shaped when it downsized from a broadsheet and moved their HQ out of the historic building on the Bridges. Should have gone the whole hog and made the front page banner red instead of blue :cussing:

Well done Andy & Dave - busy boys!

In country file now though. Here is a podcast,I'm very happy with this interview much less nerve racking when its not live.

Can't find it online - but I came across this article - I like the title - haven't read it all yet!

Now you can do your bit for the environment – by going to the pub

That's what your itinerary says! You may have to extend your holiday to fit everything in...

I'm seriously thinking about it. I'm just really busy in May and, if I'm not careful, I won't get anything done in the garden. But I really would like to come.

Reely enjoyed the party at Lower Shaw Farm chaps - so great to get to meet a few of the other bods. And Nev & Linda - I had no idea he was in the UK (shows how time-strapped I am these days!) so that was a fantastic surprise. Booze, good chat and Joachim's take on Tommy Cooper to boot... thanks a lot and hopefully there'll be another chance to meet up some time soon!
