Yep so far the gaps seem to be

Gainsborough/Scunthorpe - Unless I alter my trip, still debating that.
York
Middlesborough/Darlington
Eyemouth - Although I might stay in Hadington with a mate

Need to double check with everyone that has offered that I still can stay.

Ahem, did you miss my posting then? I'm just 12 - 14 miles from Gainsborough - is that not close enough?

Hi Andy,

I've only just picked this up as I'm travelling a lot again and haven't logged on for ages, and it's because of that I can't guarentee I'm going to be in when you pass Darlo!.

Shame as otherwise you'd be more than welcome.

If you can get a definite date that you need to be in Darlo , I'll try and work something out if possible.

So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli

Andy,

You might enjoy the Fife Diet people on your way through that area.

At the very least they are likely to have good food suggestions.
They have also recently taken on an allotment for the group which has beautlful stone walls.

Hi Andy
Catching up on the forum after our trip to Scotland, I see you're staying with us on Oct 22nd as part of your Great North Bikathon. You're not afraid that we'll be saying things like 'have you got your thermals on, spare bike parts, lights, reflective clothing, a clean hanky...you know the weather can be atrocious at this time of year.. '? You know what parents are like! It sounds like quite a challenge, but I'm sure you'll give it a good go.

Amaranth, are you involved with them? I did go to one of their meetings, but unfortunately they are a bit far for me to go regularly.

Don't worry - it doesn't tend to hang around for long this time of the year... At the moment, the sky is blue, and the sun is shining. :sunny:

Why is it that when you need to have some time to yourself you never get it  Anyway, I think I have the route sussed so getting it touch with all of you lot who offered places that I might be able to stay and thank you everyone for your kind offers it would be great to take a year or two and go and visit everyone, imagine what I would learn off you lot and what a great couple of years that would be!
I have set up a sponsor page, seems daft to cycle that far and not collect some money for something.

Thanks again for the offers. I must sleep now, it's midnight, will go through and PM everyone I need to tomorrow. Cheers again folks. :andy:
