Note to self...

Do not store glass demi-johns in shed because only after you have spent hours straining four day old pear water, then added sugar, yeast & nutrient will the demi-john lose it's bottom and you will lose the entire contents of potentially yummy pear wine down the sink. :pale: :crybaby:

My own fault for storing it in the shed in freezing temps :banghead:

Oh noo! How infuriating. It is the logical place to store them though, no one would blame you.

I used to store mine in the cupboard under the stairs. Not much help if you live in a bungalow, though.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

Yeah, I'll be keeping mine in my sewing room from now on!

It is the logical place to put it though... I mean, Pingu's dad and grandad stored and made wine in an igloo shed!

That would be Pingu Noir, then.

(Don't shout - it's the best I could do).

Pingu Grigio?

I've done the same - taken demijohns out of the shed and then put boiling water in them to sterilise them...I lost about 4 demijohns that way until the little brain kicked in...

Pingu Noir... yes, very funny!

4 demijohns?! Oh I'd be crying!
