Hello from Herefordshire
Hi, I'm MarcherLady. I live in the beautiful Welsh Marches in Herefordshire. I've recently moved here with my husband in search of a better quality of life than we had in crowded Sussex. So far we've planted fruit trees and soft fruit bushes and I'm now planning my vegetable garden. I'm also very excited about a beekeeping course I'm booked on starting later this month.
I'm generally more of a lurker than a poster on forums, but I'm sure I'll have some questions for the experts here soon. (flattery will get me everywhere, right?)

Welcome aboard from here in Wiltshire. Hereford and the surrounding countryside is beautiful and I have spent a lot of time up that way over the years. Good luck with all your endeavours.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

Hi hello welcome!
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

Re: Hello from Herefordshire
Hi there - I'm probably not too far from you - just on the Herefordshire / Worcestershire borders over by Bromyard. Welcome to our lovely area - I am sure you will enjoy it here
Over the years I have kept various livestock but (bad back) now mostly down to poultry - my lovely Marans, some Cream Legbars, Crested Ducks and Cayugas, and Crested Geese, Doves ...oh and Golden Pheasants and a dog and a cat etc etc etc
Try to produce own veg, with varying success, and generally enjoy our beautiful countyside.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Hello from Herefordshire
Hi everyone, and thanks for the welcomes. Yes, darkbrowneggs, we are almost-neighbours, I'm living just outside Kington. I would love to keep some poultry, and even a couple of pigs, but sadly we both have to work full time for a few more years, so it's not an option right now. I'm plotting to retire ASAP though!
Hi Becks, I lived in Hailsham about 15 years ago, it was the place I bought my first home, so I have very fond memories of walks on Beachy Head and round Arlington Reservoir.
