Hello from deepest darkest rural Lincolnshire
Hello all, glad to meet you!
Well, I'm trying hard to be more self sufficientish and will probably need lots of help, I hope you don't mind :-)
I manage the Nature's Calendar project for the Woodland Trust, and also work on Nature Detectives which some of you with children may have heard of or used! The lovely tree hugging peeps at work have inspired me to become more self sufficient, so here I am, ready to give it a go and try to waste less and eat more healthily too.
I'm looking forward to following the topics on the forum :-)

Welcome!
It's not too late to sow and plant some winter vegetables, if you'd like to. Have a look at this summer sowing guide. No need to buy Real Seed's seeds (though I've always been happy with their seed and service), but you can get some nice ideas of what to sow now.

Hello Lincolnshire, I've just joined here too and I'm in the Preselis in West Wales, I don't think we could be farther apart!

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
