Hello

Post: # 228393Post sarahturner »

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. My partner and I have an allotment in East Lancashire, we grow all manner of fruit and veg sometimes successfully sometimes not!! we have chickens and ducks on the allotment too and make use of all their waste to make into compost using the 3 bay system which is working wonders for us. I am completing a permaculture design course too which is proving to be very useful.

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free

It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hi Sarah

I am in sunny Longridge, not too near Preston, not so far from you. Welcome.

What and where is the course you are doing ?

Hi Sarah,
It's a permaculture design course in Chorley running one Saturday a month for a year. I'm luck in that I do food growing as a job to - I'm a community Food growing project officer with the Lancashire Wildlife Trust in Chorley so I get to go on courses like this for work too!

I'd thought I'd return your hello Sarah - and point out that I'm very jealous of your job.

For me it's just a hobby, but I could easily do it full time!
