:wave: ..all you folks...just wanted to say hi..me and my hubby are very into self-sufficient..bit hard when he's been made redundant but thats life :roll: ...we have 2 allotmnents and lots of fruit trees in our garden plus 4 chickens..oh and 6 children..but only 3 at home thankfully the older ones left...they think we are bonkers but won't say that when they see our pantry and freezer full of the good things we have grown this yr :wink: ..
This website is amazing..can't think of why i haven't found it before..but now we have we will be picking your brains for help if you don't mind...
Got to go my little one needs changing :roll: again...

..me too :lol: my hubby still gives me funny looks at times..i love music and so do my children..often on long wintry days we would push chairs and sofa back and have disco :lol: ..keeps me fit and have a good time with the girls..my son used too..but he is too big now :roll: so he tells me :wink: ...well i'm off to surf these boards and see what helpful hints and tips i can find...thank you dragon oak... :grouphug:

heh heh! Tell me about it! Spent the day reading through older posts and the OH decided to bring back another salmon last night so I had all of that to prep. for freezing in individual portions and a pan full of stock to make >.< needless to say dinner last night was sandwiches hehe

Hehe, almost too huge. Our little freezer is now chock full of stock and steaks... and he's out AGAIN!!! I wish he'd pack in, but i'll never turn down a free lunch. At least we can palm some off on next door- he's letting us use his back garden from next spring for even more veggies, so it's the least we can do!

Hi dragon oak..thats a great idea.about your neighbours garden...wouldn't do it with mine either side..one is full of catshite,the other side is my parents and they pinch stuff from me all the time now :angryfire: ...thing is i do give them stuff but they always pop round when i'm out to get more :angryfire: ..going to set my chickens on them soon :lol: ..its always nice to have a full freezer :wink: ..
