Bonekickers

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

Oh Bother, spent this evening in the garden with a bottle of red, missed the prog - is it repeated another night?

I don't know if it is repeated or not. I'm enjoying it although I have to use a lot of what my husband calls "willing suspension of disbelief". Still it is interesting and there's so little of interest on the telly at the moment!

Suspension of disbelief - yep, you need a whole host of that.

Can't believe the script is so bad.
Can't believe the BBC thought it a good idea.
Can't believe there's an archaeological consultant (Oh, hang on, it's Mark Horton - that explains it).
Can't believe I watched it in the first place.
Can't believe that the BBC Points of View site had 700 negative comments on the first episode alone.

Oh dear!!!!!

Totally, totally agree. If the characters were any more two-dimensional, they would be cardboard cut outs. Why oh why oh why...

Well, funnily enough I did sort of enjoy watching it - in a mouth-open, head-scratching, gobsmacked kind of way. But never again

I agree ... it was bloody awful!

I could go with a weak storyline if I cared about the characters. Or a crummy script would be bearable if the effects were magnificent, or it was full of twists and turns. Most disappointing.

At the end of it, my partner said "it it what you expected? Cos it was everything I expected!" .... (I used to be very taken in by ads for movies ... if it said "terrifying" or "chilling" I'd drag him to it and it would be awful.

I had expected more as it was a BBC production ... it felt more like an ITV thing, or Channel 5!!

I made a consious decision not to watch it in the first place & the amount of people who slagged it off I'm glad I didn't watch it

I have to admit to a sneaky look the other night. They found Excalibur, and broke it.

Why did I bother?

we saw the first one only, it was almost genius. So rubbish it was nearly brillient....but failed in the end. If they'd stuck with corny it'd might have worked, but they had to go with dreadful script, poor acting on top of that.

Our favourite moment was when some one was analysing piece of wood , it was 2000 years old.....it had traces of iron nails in it..... it had a blood stain on it......... and if you still didn't get it ,the lead character turned to a photo of Jesus on the cross with a puzzeled look on her face. Absolute bollox!
