Tomatillos-To pinch or not to pinch

Post: # 274846Post clanpowell »

We've got some Tomatillos in the polytunnel. Wondering if I need to pinch them out as one does with tomatoes? None of the books :study: on our shelves mention them. The packet says nothing more than when to plant, temperature etc. The "googlebane" :dontknow: results are all very non committal. Has anyone got experience with these and knows the answer to the deep and highly philosophical question. Tomatillos-To pinch out or not to pinch out?

They are similar to grow as the cape gooseberry , I don't pinch them out, just give them good supports and let them fruit away

Definitely don't pinch out but do support - oh and they'll get huge inside, another year you'd probably be better with them outside as they need insect pollination and they do absolutely fine outdoors.
