What are you havesting

We are harvesting,raspberrys lettuce,tomatoes,cucumber,cougettes,spring onions,onions,potatoes, carrots and apples & plums.my corn looks tiny this year compared to last.and I still have no runner beans although the plants have bushed up a bit and have a few flowers now.my brasiccas are a disaster too no cauliflower heads.

Wow, that's some pretty good corn you've got there Tony! What variety is it?

It's Sundance, one of the few varieties you can get nowadays that isn't Supersweet or Tendersweet (which I find far too sweet)
Plus it's recommended for oop't north.

I normally grow Kelvedon Glory, but I might give that a go next year...

sda - why not try one stalk? It it's too tough or a bit bitter don't bother with any more. Mine's in quite a shady spot so it goes on quite late.

nice sweetcorn, I now have sweetcorn envy. I may have overdone it with the paca poo, my sweetcorn is now touching the top of my polytunnel which is about 12feet high and bending a bit, shading out the strange millety stuff I didn't plant and it now seems to be forming corn at at last, but I have never grown corn that tall before, as my good friend says they have gone trifoid

Normally I would be harvesting a myriad of stuff but as we've just got an allotment back in June,I have only grown courgettes,runner beans,corn,onions,pak choi,rocket and strawberries.All of which have done really well.Have frozen alot of my beans and corn.

Dug the first parsnip of the season to roast for Sunday dinner (with slow roast lamb shanks). Well pleased with the size, and I have another 36 hopefully of a similar size.
Also first flageolet beans for tonight as well.

We've pulled the pepper plants the neighbours put in before we arrived. We've already processed tons but got another four buckets as they were pulled up today. The tomatoes were pulled up last week and we have a load of green ones in the cellar;

Masses of cabbage, kale and leeks ready to use. Having chard and skinny carrots tonight, with walnut roast (walnuts from the garden) Boiled some baby beets for tomorrow.

Have put on a large pan of quince ready to strain for jelly.

Herbs are going mad so are being chopped and frozen.

Picked the redcurrants and made jelly. Picked the last two cherry tomatoes - and ate them.
Pulled a few sticks of rhubarb from new clumps.

This year I`m adjusting to losing two productive allotment plots so it`ll be all systems go in containers and little beds next year.
(Gardening`s all about 'next year' innit?)

Quince, cooking away now to make quince paste (made jelly yesterday) herbs, chervil, parsley and chives. More chard, walnuts.

Rhubarb and herbs at the moment. Lots of rhubarb. Everything else is just holding fire and will suddenly catch up. Unfortunately the temperatures are up and down so things go with a flourish and then stop again for a day.
