Bay and Olive
Bay and Olive
Will my potted bay and olive trees be able to withstand the winter outdoors? I could put them in a shed or cover them with something but I don't have a greenhouse.

Bay trees are pretty hardy when they have their roots in the ground, but as it is in a pot it probably wouldn't like frozen roots. I would put both of them in a frost free place, but not heated, and if it's a dark shed then just put them outside on frost free days.

Yup, what he said. A polytunnel or greenhouse would be the perfect place. Or, if not too big, in or near a window.

not a problem really, mine live outside (in the ground) all year round and thrive
