I bought one from Lidls.

It didn't seem to have enough umph to do the job.

Then it stopped working.

It's only real use was one year setting fire to the dead grass thatch.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

I used to have one of the big ones, it worked very well, especially on paths and for flaming off flushes of weeds, I sold it when I got a town garden, then I moved here and could really do with it, they sell them in my local creamery for about 100 euro, you also need a small portable gas bottle

I hired one when I first got my plot.
Ok but time consuming.

you only need a small thing for that, a blow lamp, we have one with a small can of gas attached, the sort of thing you use for plumbing etc, the thing I used for weeds blasted out a huge hot flame when you pressed the button, it would cremate your pork

My big fat flame wand worked a treat dehairing the pig

No bar-b-q, and reduced processing time by 5 hours

Chef's blow torch would be good for pork hairs.
