Re: Let’s have a list of New years resolutions & !revolution
I am giving up the plonk in January for Cancer Research UK's 'Dryathlon'. That should save about 80 wine bottles from needing recycling. I am determined this year to not let the weather get me down too much, so am considering turning my raised bed in the community garden over to growing rice. I WILL...

Re: What do you heat your home with and what does it cost??
We live in an ex council house that was built in 1967 and we are purely electric. We have a white meter 'storage' heater in the living room. We also have those plug in portable oil radiators in the two bedrooms for the winter. We have a horrid three bar fire that goes on for a quick blast every now ...

I find Aldi and Lidl are less geared towards the cynical marketing the major retailers use. Even so, write a menu, ONLY buy what you need fo...

MrTwiglet and I are on a charity-shop challenge this year. Everything we buy each other MUST come from a charity shop, and the total cost must not exceed £15.00. I'm easy to buy for - anything kitsch that nobody else wants, beads that I can cut down and turn into new sets, scarves and scrap material...

I'm the same as you. At the end of the day, those I know and trust know who I am in 'real life', but I'm not an open book to everyone - particularly as there are so many scammers on websites these days. I moderate a dating site, and scammers are very subtle. They like to steal innocuous looking prof...

Yeah, it's the shiny buttons on their uniforms. It helps to strip them first, I find.
