Fresh Yeast?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have just been given some fresh yeast from my local supermarket for baking but not sure how to store or how much to use? Also i would love to be able to keep it growing so i have a continues supply, Can anyone help :(

There are lots of people who know what to forage but perhaps feel unsafe or unsure about going out on there own. Perhaps a buddy or 2 could meet up and forage together. Maybe even learning off eachother and finding new forage sites? I know where i live there are not many if any foragers and i get a ...

Ok, I have bottled mine in plastic bottles. Is that safe and if so how long before i can drink it? It smells gorgeous

It tastes ok but i need an icecream maker i think to stop the ice crystals forming. It could do with being a bit smoother just to make it look and taste like the real stuff.

My home made blackberry jelly yogurt
I have been making my own yogurt for a while now and just thought i would add some of my home made Blackberry Jelly. wow what a treat. I took some to work and let a couple of friends taste it. they said its like a mixture of icecream and mousse. Anyway they said it was so nice that i should sell it....

just read this thread and luckily for me i got some root ginger on saturday so i now have 25gs of it infusing. If this is as good as it sounds then i am gonna grow a ginger tree lol

I read somewhere that if you find a piece of wasteland and 6 people write to the local council asking for that land to use as an allotment then by law they have to let you have it. obviously it has to be owned by the council and not greenbelt or protected land. Jack by the edge is also known as Garlic Mustard. I think only the leaves are edible.

I got my clay plot last year, it is right next to a canel. Potatoes did ok, onions did well. Hi, I have noticed the birds have attacked the Greengage and Victoria Plum trees at my allotment but left all the other trees. My question is..... Do the birds eat these because they may taste like the fruit and if so can we make wine out of them????? It would be great if we can

Hi, I have a book all about herbs and weeds in which it says adding Nettles to a hens diet helps egg production. Gonna give it a go myself when i get my own chucks lol
