Re: Aquaponics?
This is what Sylvia Bernstein said to Tony's post. HI Paul. I'm laughing because that is exactly the kind of skepticism I had when I first got into aquaponics. I came from a 7 year background in Hydroponics via running the plant grow lab at AeroGrow, international in the development of the AeroGarde...

Re: Aquaponics?
I do go onto a couple of aquaponics forums and I am also in touch with Sylvia Bernstein who is a leader in aquaponics in the states.
Do you mind if I quote your post above to see if I can get some answers for you?

I for one would be very interested in what you have to say Tosca
There may be a lot of differences but I bet there are as many similarities.

Re: What has happened to this website?
A lot of forums do have a thanks button. It is nice to be thanked but it is even better if someone takes the time to comment so it keeps the thread on the first page a little longer.

For those of you that don't already know, aquaponics is a kind of gardening where you use fish to supply nutrients to your plants and plants to filter the water for the fish. The fish produce ammonia from their gills and their urine which is poisonou...

Thanks Tony
It is not just this site. Most forums are having a hard time as people spend more time on things like facebook. Maybe we need to use facebook more to highlight interesting topics on the forum.
It is too good a resource to loose to be honest.

Growing vegetables all year round
Hi All
I would like to go from just growing a lot veg in the summer to growing a smaller amount but all year round.
We are going to be designing an aquaponics system in the dome and i might have a go at micro greens but what other things can i grow all year round or through the off season
