Unless its really hot they get up when i do, which unfortunately is pretty early thanks to the kids, but I have read that if you free ranging them its quite good to keep them in until they have there first lay, but I have never thought that sounded right, myself

One thing you can do is greate raised beds with heavy cardboard under neath if you do one metre square beds you can reach them from all sides an d bring in freash top soil and copost to fill them or recycle soil from else where. if you can score old carpet you can lay it wool side down and use it as...

Living rural we relie on our vehicles to move our produce but we can't afford an eco car

I still have a computer, cell phone, tv and othe such items which are extremely hard to recycle when caput.

I can't afford the eco friemdly products here in NZ even though I know the planet can't either.
