Re: The Self-sufficientish Bible
I wanted to suggest a Midlands meet-up as there seems to be a few people on here who are either in Leics, Notts or Derbyshire. I'd be happy to host one in my back garden here in Nottingham and always welcome an opportunity to forage too! I'm in Nottingham! Sounds great! Soon, please, soon!

Re: Hi there from a parent-to-be!
I would also recommend http://www.mothering.com/discussions as a great forum to talk about natural and gentle birth and parenting. Sorry, bit of a thread hijack, but I had a look at this website and a found a link to this really lovely bf video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=942FRjAJhxU ...

Suggestion (?) for new forum
This might be a personal preference, but I noticed that now when I click on a link on the forum it opens in the same window. I liked it better before when it opened in a new window. That meant I could look at that site and ish at the same time.... What do other people think? Hope I'm not being too p...

Re:
i think this is a really interesting and important discussion. my opinion is that men and women are different, but that doesnt mean that men cannot have a lesser role in bringing up children than women. men are just as capable as women in all areas of child rearing, and this includes the emotional ...

Re: Midges
...the actors had to wear nets over their faces when not filming... This just reminded me of when I was on a girl's camp when I was younger next to Kielder Reservior. The midges were terrible and we all went around wearing net curtains over our heads all week! I think that other people at least tho...

Re: Veg Box Thief
Thank you for the sympathy guys, I feel better now! But I trust a little less.... Ratty, I'm in Nottingham too, but the box was from River Nene. I'm alright for veggies - my small garden is starting to yield now - so I won't bother mentioning it to them. I'll just get up earlier on a Friday to get ...

Veg Box Thief
Yesterday morning when my veg box was delivered (very early!) I was still in bed and so didn't get up to answer the door. As usual, the delivery guy pushed the box well under the side gate. When I got up, I forgot about it until I was about to leave for work. As a left the house I saw it, but didn't...

No TV (don't miss it!). Use BBC iPlayer to watch Doctor Who, don't bother with anything else, just buy a DVD if I fancy it. No car - this shocks people at work - they keep asking when I'm getting one! They look at me very pityingly. But there is an excellent, frequent, reliable bus service almost do...
