Re: Where to buy a large polytunnel?
Ours is also just the UV stabilised stuff. Apparently the UV protection treatment only last a couple of years anyway (don't know about the anti-fog bit) so it seems pointless to pay extra money for something that may not last. The cover we bought should stay intact for 4-5 years (maybe less up here)...

Re: Legal knowledge anyone?
The council has deemed it unsafe, and it's now public record. The land is owned by us, so our liability is total - we could potentially lose everything. Previous attempts at a committee (long before our time here) ended in acrimony so no-one will agree to setting up another. A neighbour consulted hi...

Legal knowledge anyone?
Does anyone know anything about property law - particularly Scottish law. We have a dispute in our village over an area of communal property. I'm not sure I want to go into detail here but if anyone wants more details they can pm me. Briefly a communally owned area which is open to the public has be...

It's simple to say, Mrs F, but harder to do - but concentrate on the fact that you're actually there to celebrate your daughter's birthday. It's actually a day of great rejoicing - you survived it all!

Has James Lovelock lost it? I suppose at the age of 90 he's entitled to. Not only did he come out in favour of nuclear power, but now he's going into space.

Hey you!!!
I learned all these dances at school (in England).
Mind you I'm fairly certain they told us they were English country dances.

No idea Jed. Sounds weird and I hope it is safe.
Maybe you should look into practical uses for it - polish?

Re: Feeling restless
Sorry to hear that honey. In line with another thread - does he have any dreams/plans he could maybe put into practice. It sounds like a few people on here used redundancy as a springboard, rather than a crisis. At the least it could be a fill-in until he gets a new job.

Re: Wasting food
Does anyone else have a partner who doesn't like eating the same thing twice? My Dad's favourite meal was cold meat and fry-up so the sunday roast was spoken for until everything ran out. Not so my OH - after a few months of impressing him with my fantastic sunday dinners, he informed me that he did...

Re: Where to buy a large polytunnel?
We've got a First Tunnels polytunnel - much smaller than the one you require. As it's already stood up to 80+mph winds this winter I can heartily recommend them!
We got the frame upgrade (35mm), anchor plates, storm braces and crop bars - we knew it'd have to stand up to this sort of wind.
