Re: anyone else found this funny??? only me????
I knew who it was immediately so have had a giggle reading this. I also laughed at 'him' being called a 'guy' because I think the fluffy ones are all ewes. Anyway, you couldn't look cute and fluffy like that and be male. Woah! is it only the females that get fluffy and have to b...

Re: The Pig Idea
I stick to the rules - but sometimes it seems hard not to give kitchen waste to the pigs but you have to realise just how manky some pig swill is. its not just chucking some leftover cabbage leaves at them - its that half eaten salami sarnie or the food aunty Mabel brought back from her holidays fro...

pigs
if you get on well with keeping pigs and enjoy the resulting pork, then you can have pigs again next year. and if not, you can put the PT up on cleared ground :)

Re: keeping sheep
you might want to consider the Zwartbles as a breed - they are bred for milking and are very milky and fairly easy lambers and tend to be really docile too - I actually lambed our ZwartblesX ewe whilst she was standing in the middle of a field (other sheep would bolt!) I would suggest looking to see...

Re: .....Figure out how much to grow?
you do have to think about it though - we realised it was never going to be financially viable to grow maincrop spuds - when you can get 25 kilos of locally grown spuds for 6 quid.. its not worth the price of the seed potatoes! I don't buy seed potatoes... OK, I did once or twice, but no more. (Bar...
