Re: Hiya
Hi Polly I lived in Glos-Shire for 30 years just outside Stroud so know the area very well. Just love the Slad Valley and hills! The scenery is very diferent in West Yorkshire but just as beautiful in a different way. I'd like to keep chickens and do have the room but am concentrating on the veggie ...

Re: weight loss group
Thanks to Big Al re my previous post. Had a great birthday; Champagne, 5 course meal with wine etc. I'm still 12.5 stone so haven't lost or gained this week but don't regret the splurge for one moment but am back to the healthy eating now. My tiller arrived today so am looking forward to a busy week...

Re: weight loss group
I'm 12 and a half stone and should be about 10 and a half. I'm quite tall so can carry it and am a size 14 but would like to be a 12 again. Over the Christmas holidays I just ate and drank whatever I fancied and that's when the weight went on and it just won't drop off like it used to. I'm 45 next F...

Re: what did you do in the vegpatch/allotment
I had a couple of days off this week so I've been quite busy. I bought a small greenhouse and built it and am quite surprised by my industriousness. I weeded the herb garden and dug over the vegetable plots, which took hours and was exhausting!. I orderded some meadow seeds for an planting in an are...

Re: Green house
Thank you everyone for your advice. I've ordered a polytunnel from Morgan and Thomspon and will look at freecycle too. Not sure I'm quite ready to build my own but as I gain experience might be tempted as my compost bin seems to be holding up at the moment.

Hi all
New to self-sufficiency and would like to buy a small greenhouse. Does anyone have any advice on the best make and what you think is a reasonable price?
Thanks

Hello
Hi all Just joined today. Currently living in West Yorkshire and was going to spend the day in the garden but woke up to an inch of snow and it's still snowing so thought I'd catch up on some reading. I'm in the process of becoming self-sufficient. Last weekend I built my first compost bin, laid the...
