Re: site issue

Ah, seems I missed all of this when the search was broken. Normal service is now resumed sorry if you thought the site was dying, there were quite a few issues moving it from the old server.

Re: Forum moving-sorry for any hiccups

Sorry for anyone who was feeling a bit 'strung' out by the forum move and thanks for not getting knotted! It's now strung back together so we can continue our conversation threads.

Re: Forum moving-sorry for any hiccups

No modesty at all-I make calls and email people Dan does the work :) So, update - we need to update the forum software and move server again. The present server isn't up to the job, the forum is MASSIVE and with the software it runs on is really out of date. You may notice all the topics are still a...

Re: Forum moving-sorry for any hiccups

It's Dan you need to thank, he's put in the hard work despite being up against it from the start.

There might be a couple more bumps on the way yet but it will get there.

Re: Forum moving-sorry for any hiccups

Okay, fiddled around and fixed it for now but it doesn't seem to want to do any searches before the end of October, you can at least look for active topics. Email me if it goes down again dave (at) selfsufficientish.com

Forum moving-sorry for any hiccups

Hello, you may have noticed the forum is acting a little funny and the site is a co.uk at the moment. This is all due to the moving of the server. One of the hiccups has been that any member joining after 28th September to yesterday may have to join again and posts made since that time will have dis...

Re: Site having problems?

Hi, yes sorry Malc (and anyone else reading this) I should have really put up an announcement, the forum has now been moved to a new server. There may well be a few hiccups on the way but hopefully normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

Re: Weird Plant! Any Clues?

This self seeded in my garden too, I've not idea how it got there. The leaves looked like quinoa and it wasn't until it flowered I realised what I had. I'm glad my toddler didn't munch on any of the leaves before I yanked it up! I've always found it a bit odd when they say something was smoked to he...

Re: plum cider?

No but it sounds delicious. So explain the process of steaming out the juice, could I do this with a wall-paper steamer? Sounds like you are effectively distilling apple juice?

Re: Wild food courses in Exeter, Oxford,Northampton, Totnes
