Re: Conditioner

Umm, I don't know - label's already off the bottle!, but it was one of those handmade but branded things I picked up when clothes-shopping. So I don't think it is something I could re-create at home. But it had a nice banana-ey texture, so I think it had alot of banana in, and am tempted to just mas...

Conditioner

So I just finished a bottle of handmade banana and soy conditioner and it was blooming brilliant! I was just wondering if anyone has any good conditioner recipes? If it includes banana, honey and/or vanilla; either keeps relatively well or can be made in small-ish quantities or can be whipped up wit...

Re: Well it had to happen

I wouldn't mind trying artificial meat, actually... I have a moral issue with meat because it comes from a living animal, but I really like the taste (and am too fussy to be sufficiently nutriented without it in my diet!). I quite like quorn, but having been a poor student all my life, have never re...

Nice knicks, Flibster!

I had a pair of wrap-around trousers once... They looked cool, but they did become a pain, flapping about all over the place, but I am what you'd call a brisk walker

Re: Bathing babies - how do you?

I used to carry mine into the shower with me. They loved it. I'd recommend a good non-slip mat though 'cos it does shift your centre of gravity up a bit and you have to be prepared to be widdled on and sometimes worse  soph's only just got to the point where she's willing to go in the shower...

Re: So who manages without TV?

Flibster - when I was young, I begged and begged for a telly in my room. My mum eventually gave in. When I got sick of it a month later, I begged her to get it out! I hardly slept, did any homework or anything else productive!

Maybe in 7 years' time I'll still be able to keep the offer open... And be more experienced at it, to boot :flower:

Re: hand / face lotion recipe wanted.

I'm afraid I don't have any recipes, but for hands (it is too oily for faces IMHO) a block of shea butter is nice - the warmth of your hands will melt it a little, and it just rubs in. Equally nice (but liquid in form) are sweet almond oil and coconut oil, which can often be found in the 'Asian food...

Re: Breast feeding, socially unacceptable or not?

I am not suggesting women strip off entierly or go topless to feed their child in public, that would be rediculous. What I object to is the feeling of needing to cover with a towel or blanket or hiding behind a cushion. Women shouldnt have to do this. I see what you mean, and agree that women shoul...
