Sorry to revive an old thread guys but does anybody know if polystyrene packaging would be OK? I can't bear to throw it in the landfill and there are only so many plant pots you can put it in so could you break it up and put it between the joists? Would it be a fire risk? As for the house dust mites...

Ha - yeah. You should have seen the sizes of the two boxes that my order came in. It was only a few bits of cosmetics and stuff from Virgin Vie. The whole lot would have fitted into a large envelope and yet they sent two boxes which filled the boot of my estate car! The only good thing was the boxes...
