Re: Retreat biting.
Is he aggressive or whining when you move away? Or does he just shrug and get on with whatever he wants to do? If I ignore him, first he lays his head on my knee and looks up at me from under his eyelashes, or he tries to put his nose under my arm, then if I carry on ignoring him he ambles off quit...

Re: Books to avoid
I don't, really ;-). I'm just going by the fact that it's Anno Dracula so half right (by my translation ;-) ) already (although that's getting me into the murky waters of author intentionality...) And I'm assuming a nod to Anno Domini as being ironically appropriate (although so I suppose on one lev...

Re: Books to avoid

Re: Books to avoid
I think Anno is ok (dative, in the year) but there's no getting away from the Draculae issue ;-). But you know the two human things the undead lose first are their reflections in mirrors and the ability to form the genitive.

Re: Retreat biting.
Can I ask my dog dominance question? My brother has a siberian husky/ german shepherd mix dog who is very, very gentle and I have never known him snap or growl or anything. He likes me very much, and when I visit him (well really I am visiting my brother but he may not know that), he likes to sit an...

Re: Your space

I agree with that person over there who said the power structures built in were going to cause problems.chickenchargrill wrote:They liked her and her idea a lot more over on the Green Living Forum. http://thegreenlivingforum.net/forum/vi ... 9&t=106212

Yes, I think the French is a bit questionable ;-). (Unless he's Canadian? Is Canadian French different to French French?).

Henri the existential cat
I don't know why I find this so funny. Henri the existential cat, and Henri the sequel.

Re: "Can we talk" about
I once attended a debate that had Richard Dawkins on one side and David Icke on the other (amongst others). David Icke came out of it looking rather good, by comparison. There was someone really bizarre who was supposed to be one of the Illuminati Lizards. I can't remember who it was (strangely eno...
